YOUR FEELINGS MATTER
Your feelings matter.
I've gone through phases comprised of me invalidating my feelings, saying I am being sensitive, I am being dramatic, l am being petty, I am being childish. I tend to dismiss those feelings that later pop up in the future and they affect me even in the most trivial things. Something so minute will lead to a spiral of emotions just because of unresolved and bottled up previous feelings.
I keep on telling myself that no one will understand, people will criticise and downplay my feelings,call me sensitive and the like so it’s best that I will resolve it alone,on my own,by myself and that always never works.
This is a reminder to myself and to anyone else that feels the same way,your feelings matter,your feelings are valid,you are allowed to feel the way you feel,you are not being dramatic or sensitive. You are human.
Don’t be afraid to speak to someone you trust,that’s the first step to healing. It feels good to hear it from someone that’s not you,to hear that it’s okay,everything will be okay,to hear that it’s perfectly normal to feel like that and that you are not the only one feeling like that because there’s a way your mind makes you think you are alone and that you are the only one going through whatever you are going through.
You are never alone,don’t allow your mind to lie to you.
