TO THE ONE I WANT TO SEE SMILE

People often wonder what depression is like- it’s laying awake all night till the wee hours of the morning, with nothing in particular racing in your mind, just wondering if trying to talk about the weight in your chest is really worth the time. It’s looking in the mirror and never seeing light,
wondering time and again if this will be the day you give in and cease to fight. In spite of it all, you keep living for the sake of those who still love you, spending every day never knowing what to do; switching tasks every few minutes but nothing feels fun, small bursts for a few minutes and then nothing at all. From phone to tv to games to books but nothing holds your attention…..nothing hooks.
Staring your face in the mirror with disappointment, nothing you ever do truly feels right, asking yourself over and over again, “Does this get any better?”
Well, the good news is that it does get better. What’s interesting is that recovering is possible whether you have struggled for a year, 5 or even 15. Neuroplasticity (brain change) can happen throughout life . Do not let the time you have been down because of the malady deter you from moving towards recovery this is because moving towards what needs healing is the only way to heal it.
