THE REPLY
In my endless tears
In my creased pillow
In the crack of my voice
In the withdrawal
I replied!
In the exhaustion
In the disgust
In the sleepless nights
In my fear
I replied!
In the shattered trust
In the flinch towards touch
In the silence
In the low self-esteem
I replied!
In my parents' tears
In my siblings' tears
In my beat friend's tears
In the body lying there
My soul replied

This poem mirrors a life that was lived while silently struggling in pain. The person finds relief from the agonizing reality when they finally die. We all need to look out for the people we love because most times they’re going through so much pain, and sometimes it overwhelms them before we get a chance to offer them a shoulder to lean on.
